Hi All,

=20

I am the student that requested some advice for her radar project =
earlier
from this list serve. This list was great and I had a great response =
but
I'm back again to ask for some more help!

=20

I was running a radar off of highway 103 near Oak Park in Yarmouth =
County.
Between 7 to 9 am on the morning of September 21st, I recorded huge =
"blobs"
of targets on my radar screen. I was not near the radar during this =
time so
I was not able to see what was actually creating these blobs. One bird
usually just creates a small "blob" so I know that there must have been
large flocks.

=20

All of these blobs were heading north and northeast-ish at heights =
ranging
from 100 m to over 600 m. I have other radar sites at Pubnico Point, =
Shag
Harbour and Cape Sable but these locations didn't show nearly the number =
of
flocks passing overhead as my "inland" site (although Shag Harbour and
Pubnico did have a few; Cape Sable showed none of these large blobs).

=20

So, if anyone saw any large flocks of diurnal migrants or waterfowl, or =
has
any other ideas of what may have been moving around that day, I'd love =
to
hear it!

=20

Cheers,

Carolyn
