Hi,

Brier Island was hopping with birds all weekend, with large numbers of
Warblers, Vireos, Sparrows, Kinglets, Catbirds etc. all over the
island, and heading off from N.Point in large numbers. I saw 16
species of Warbler, but others, who spent longer on the island than I
did, undoubtedly saw more goodies.

Highlights for me included --

An, inmm. White-crowned Saprrow at Pond Cove
Several Lincoln's Sparrows
Wilson's Warblers around my camp
Black-the. Blue and Bay-breasted Warblers
40+ Broad-wings drifting over the Lighthouse Rd.
Merlins, Kestrels and Sharpies
A Humpbacked Whale that did a full breach with a huge splash right
beside the boat
(but the w/e was generally disappointing for shorebirds and seabirds).

No doubt Ken or others will add more goodies to this post.

Richard
