This is a small = cylindrical feeder about 13 cm x 4cm without a perch, but I situate it = so that there is a horizontal branch of the tree below the single port. = The sapsucker would perch for quite some time and lap the sugar solution = from the rim of the feeder. It seemed to disapperar for a couple of = weeks, but I noted it back at the usual perch again about an hour before = dusk the last 2 evenings. Since it is only about 3 m from my window it = is a great study of the bird in this plumage.=20 I last saw an imm. or fem. Hummingbird at my feeder on Sept. 9. cheers Ken ------=_NextPart_000_01A7_01C6D783.066D6CC0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2900.2963" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Ken McKenna<BR>Box 218 Stellarton = NS<BR>B0K=20 1S0<BR>902 752-7644<BR><A=20 href=3D"mailto:kenmcken@pchg.net">kenmcken@pchg.net</A></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi all</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2> For about a month in = August, I=20 had a hatch year Yellow-bellied Sapsucker attending a small hummingbird = feeder.=20 This is a small cylindrical feeder about 13 cm x = 4cm without a=20 perch, but I situate it so that there is a horizontal branch of the tree = below=20 the single port.
