This is peak time for the thousands of semipalmated sandpipers which stop here after their summer in the Arcti= c to fatten up before they fly nonstop to spend the winter in South America. There are lots of other shorebirds to see as well. We will first go to the Windsor sewage ponds, and then to Grand Pre/Evangeline Beach. Meet at 9 a.m= . at the Wolfville waterfront or 9:30 a.m. at the Windsor Tourist Bureau off Highway 101 at Exit 6.
