Index of Subjects August 12, 2006 Big Island Ann Doull had a great birding day today! She saw a lot of bird activity in the woods (past Fleet property) : two warbling vireos, yellow warblers, magnolia warblers, robins, black capped chickadees, and an ovenbird. She also sighted other warbler species like Parula, Black and white warblers, Chestnut sided warblers, etc on other days. She continues to see 1 sora swimming at McGee Pond since July 31st. For the records, August 5th - she saw a Baird's Sandpiper near the east end of the island. There were two solitary sandpipers at the Baudoux Pond from July 30th to August 10th. Cheers, liz
