High tide is good, as the shorebirds roost on islands near the Hawk, 
and in the Hawk Channel, and also at Daniel's Head.   The viewing as 
also good from the lobster pound as the tide starts to fall.   It 
doesn't take long though for the shorebirds to be well offshore, as 
the tide falls quickly.
