Support human rights for Aboriginal people in Canada
April, 2007 postcard campaign
In November, 2005, the Kelowna Accord was signed by the federal and provincial governments, as well
as several national organizations representing Aboriginal peoples in Canada. It is a collaborative
agreement for reducing the gaps in standard of living between Aboriginal people and the Canadian average,
in areas of basic services such as health, education, and access to clean water.
To learn more, please read our backgrounder
Stephen Harper's government has refused to implement the accord, despite the signed agreement. We won't let
this become yet another dishonoured treaty!
This historically-unique process of co-operative decision-making was signed by every provincial and territorial premier.
You can sign too -- just

Let Stephen Harper know that it is unacceptable to refuse to provide basic services
to Aboriginal people in Canada. The Act to Implement the Kelowna Accord (Bill C-292)
was passed by the House of Commons on March 21, 2007 and is now before the Senate. Now is the perfect time to act!
